Subject Wise Study Tips for CBSE Students

Each student is different from other students. So, we have provided some preparation tips which will be helpful for all types of students. Although students can use them the way they feel is more convenient during their studies. There is no hard and fast rule to use these in a similar way as mentioned below.

Students have basic subjects in all classes which they study, such as maths, science, English, Hindi and social science. Each subject can be studied in a different way so it can be understood in the easiest way. So, below are a few subject-wise tips for student preparation. But, before moving ahead, students must remember that they should study as per the CBSE Syllabus and cover all the topics to excel in their exams.

1. Study tips for maths

Maths is one such subject which requires a lot of practice. Most of the students have a fear of this subject as this subject is different from other theoretical subjects. There is no theory or story which they can mug up a few days before the exam and can score marks easily. Thus, scoring marks in this subject can be possible if students have a good grasp of concepts. This can be achieved by solving the exercise questions which are provided at the end of each chapter of the NCERT book. Students can also solve mathematical problems from other reference books. But, before doing so, they must make sure that they have studied and solved the problems of the NCERT book first.

2. Study tips for science

For science subjects, students should read each topic of the chapter thoroughly from the NCERT book. Mostly, in exams, the questions are asked from the NCERT book only. So, if students have gone through the chapter in detail and have understood the topic, they can easily score high marks on the exam. There are also some questions which are related to chemical equations and numerical problems. Such questions mostly start from Class 9 onwards. So, for this, students can solve similar numerical problems and master such topics.

3. Study tips for English and Hindi language subjects

To prepare for language subjects, such as English and Hindi, students need to read the chapter twice or thrice. In this way, they will know the story of the chapter in a better way. If possible, they should try to write the summary of the chapter and poem in their own way. Doing so will help in revision. Also, just by going through the summary of the chapter, students will quickly recall the story. So they don’t need to waste time reading the entire chapter during exam preparation.

4. Study tips for social science

History is a subject which requires memorising dates, events and battles. So for that, students should make short notes by themselves after reading the chapter. They can also paste the list of important dates and events which are mostly asked in the exam in their study areas. So, every time when they look at it, they will recall those topics. Moreover, solving the CBSE Sample Paper is the best way to prepare for such subjects. Students get to know the important topics which are most likely to be asked in the exam. They can prepare the other subjects as well by solving the sample papers and previous years’ papers.
